Not really a question on the Chaplaincy but maybe you can help.Everyday I find it harder to keep focused God, with time constraints, family matters and the world in general. How can I find time and motivation to reconnect. Thanks

Ross, it is a daily renewing of your mind through the scriptures and prayer. You can pray even while you are working, resting, driving. Your are able to access the Holy Spirit 24/7 and He is always available to give you strength and comfort if you would call out to Him with openess and with a humble spirit.

Not to say that you are not trying this already...but we must always persevere and never give up or get too discouraged. The enemy(satan) is like a roaring lion seeking whom he might destroy. As Christians we know that we have the true victory through Christ Jesus. I John 4:4 says "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." Of course the He that is in you is Jesus and the he that is in the world in satan.

Give your life sacrificially to Jesus every day and if you have to every minute, hour and moment. Surrender self and cry out to our Lord who is ready to set you free from diversions that would pull you away from HIM!

Remember that He loved us so much that he suffered and died for our sins. Obey Him because you love Him, not because any law says you should not do this and not do that. No, but because He loves you so intensely that He DIED AND GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOU SO THAT YOU WOULD LIVE FOR ETERNITY! AMEN!!

He is alive now...and so are you! Don't despair, but rather seek Him as intensly as He seeks you...love Him as deeply as He loves you...let Him be your all and your everyting. Let the Lord Jesus be your motivation for life and living and you will be drawn to Him and everything else will fall away and disappear.

Before work, before your family(even that)the Lord God of Israel, the God of our father, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will guard you to Himself, because He is devoted to you 100% forever and ever.

Strip yourself bare...reveal your innermost being to HIM and He will flood your being with the power of the Holy Spirit in a way that you could never have imagined! Let Him have all of you.

Actually this is a great message for myself and anyone else that is distracted by the world as it crowds in and trys to drag us away from our Savior Jesus. Let us all say NO! Never! Let us all draw near and cling to the Rock of our salvation...Jesus!!
      Amen.

That now concludes the sermon for today.Ha! God is so very good!

This is absolutely true. The Power of God is enormous. He can take a broken person and lift them from the floor to the sky in a split second. God is always with us. His holy spirit lives in those who choose to live their lives in accordance to our Lord and Savior.
He heals the sick, comforts the heartbroken, he is the Grand Physician and the Almighty Counselor. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Hallelujah.
No matter where a person is in their lives today, tomorrow can be a glorious moment. God does not actually mean, crying at night and happiness in the morning when he says, there will be tears at night and joy in the morning, he is revealing to us, that when sadness comes about, there is darkness and darkness signifies life in the world, but Joy signifies, life with Jesus Christ, and life to the fullest. When the Holy Spirit comes upon a person, Act 1-8, they become bold and it is at that time only when one asks God to come into their hearts, to fill their soul and to take over their minds, is when a person can expierence true Joy, love, Peace, Happiness, Comfort, etc. So when a person is born again, through the blood of Jesus, and has accepted, and believes,it is at that very moment that one can expierence the Power of God and understand the term of their will be tears at night but joy in the morning. Hallelujah-------- God bless to all and have a blessed day. Kelly S. Miles Peoria-Glendale Arizona

Been thinking about Easter and the Passover season. The Lord Jesus has the victory over death and the grave through His suffering and crucifixtion.

Praise be to the Lord God Almighty that because of the Lord Jesus we have eternal life through HIM.

Because of our Saviour Jesus the angel of death has passed over us and we LIVE with Him forever & ever! Amen

Wait for the Lord and he will make it right. (Proverbs 20:22)

Most of us of a certain age remember when Jane Fonda displayed a truly hurtful, horrifying action in the midst of our enemies. Her actions and behavior were deemed traitorious, un-American and she became one of the most despised women in this nation and around the world, especially among G.I.s and Vets. As an American, I agree that her actions were all of the above!

Yet...Jane Fonda has said over and over again that she regrets what she did, is sickened by her irretrivable past. She has found it hard to believe that she could have actually done those notorius, deplorable things against our men and our country!

I believe she is truly, deeply sorry. That she is now mortified because of her behavior and has asked to be forgiven. She has and is paying the consequences for her behavior and I'm sure she always will. In fact I agree that she should not be recognized as one of the most honored 100 women of this century. Because of her most gut wrenching, anti-American behavior she should NOT receive any honors.

Asking for forgiveness does not negate the consequences...for every cause there is an effect. Bad behavior always brings circumstances to crash down upon the heads of the foolish. What forgiveness does is offer hope and renewal to a soul who grieved multitudes, a human being who is now remorseful for the foolishness of a reckless past.

Who among you has never sinned, never caused hurt to another or perhaps spent years regretting mean, spiteful, stupid and foolish behavior? Most of us have done something we are ashamed of...and we ALL hope for forgiveness for our transgressions.

For those of you without sin, please step forward and cast the first stone at Jane Fonda... and then fall on your hands and knees before our Almighty Creator and ask Him to forgive YOU!

For you I have this question: Who made you God? And why are you trying to do His job?

"Vengeance is Mine," God declared. "I will repay" (Hebrews 10:30 NKJV )

Judgement is God's job. To assume otherwise is to assume God can't do it.

Revenge is irreverent...To forgive someone is to display reverence. Forgiveness is not saying the one who hurt you was right. Forgiveness is stating that God is faithful and he will do what is right. (Max Lucado, "Grace for the Moment" ).

May the Lord Jesus Christ flood your heart with His tender mercies and give you the unsurpassed peace and joy that comes only from Him. May you experience His all abiding love forever and ever. Amen.

    God bless,

Donna R. Kafer Arizona State Legislative Chaplain

I have been reading "Women of Courage". This book provides a vital purpose in the Body of Christ. We need to know these women - each one of them. Their lives inspire us. They reveal how our Living God can reach any of us. We can all make a difference if we follow the example of these ladies. Some of them endured tremendous suffering. However, somehow through the gift of Grace they did not blame God for their problems. Instead, they surrendered to Him and were equipped to bring about solutions - solutions from heaven. Praise God for your work Chaplain Donna. Keep it up!!

I have yet to read Chaplain Kafer's book. However, I do agree with J. Michael Paul in that the body of Christ has a way to go in seeing the impact that women have and the value God has placed upon them. I also want to give the Church it's due in how far it has come in embracing the active leaderhip role that women do have.

When we look through scripture we see how strategically God involved women in the most important events that shaped our understanding of truth. From Genesis with Eve to the women at the empty tomb - women truly have the favor and grace of God upon them.
